Ten songs were made available for download on the day of the game's release, and two new songs are released each week. Players can also download new tracks to the PSP through the PC version of the PlayStation Store.

Normally this is where gaming writers would take a moment to request that Harmonix add their favorite band/genre/song to Rock Band as future downloadable content, but being the card-carrying nonconformist that I am I would instead like to request that Harmonix revive the Frequency/Amplitude series for the PSP. That is, each tune will set you back roughly $2, and most will also be available in a discounted theme pack. So far there’s no word on how much the DLC will set you back, but we expect it will follow the pricing scheme established by the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Rock Band.
